Abdur Rahman is joining our lab from the India. He earned his Bachelor in science (B.Sc) in Zoology from Aligarh Muslim University and Master in Science (M.Sc) in Biotechnology from Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan in India. He continued his scientific journey in Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, where he joined lab of Dr. Souvik Bhattacharjee. His Ph.D work was focused on understanding the molecular mechanism of artemisinin resistance in malaria. Afterwards, he moved to the USA. He is joining the lab of Dr. John Jimah to study membrane remodelling processes using biophysical methods, cryo-electron microscopy and tomography. Outside of the lab he enjoys cooking, travelling around and watching/reading Sci-FI.
